1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using the SoDNAscan website and application at sodnascan.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
These Terms should be read together with our:
- Privacy Policy
- Data Use Policy
- Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Medical & Wellness Disclaimer
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding data handling, the Privacy Policy prevails.
2. Service Description
SoDNAscan is a wellness platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized Health Books based on your uploaded data. The Service:
- Accepts raw genetic files from consumer testing providers (23andMe, AncestryDNA)
- Accepts blood work lab results (PDF or text)
- Accepts wearable device health exports (Apple Health, Oura, Fitbit, Whoop)
- Accepts self-reported health information (demographics, health history, family history, goals)
- Uses AI to analyze your data and generate a personalized Health Book
- Delivers your Health Book as a downloadable PDF
The Service is designed for general wellness purposes only. It is intended to promote or maintain general health and well-being through lifestyle and wellness insights. It does not claim to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease or condition.
3. Wellness Classification
SoDNAscan is a general wellness product. In accordance with applicable regulatory guidance:
- The Service is intended exclusively for general wellness use
- Health insights provided are informational
- No output should be interpreted as a clinical finding, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation
- The Service does not reference specific diagnostic thresholds or clinical standards
- The Service does not make claims about specific diseases or conditions
If the insights provided prompt concerns about your health, consult a qualified healthcare provider. SoDNAscan is not a substitute for professional medical judgment.
4. AI Transparency
SoDNAscan uses AI to process your data and generate your Health Book. You should understand that:
- AI generates your Health Book. Your genetic variants, blood biomarkers, wearable metrics, and self-reported health information are analysed. The AI generates analytical reports that are compiled into your Health Book.
- AI outputs are informational, not diagnostic. The AI provides wellness insights. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide clinical recommendations.
- AI has limitations. AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Genetic science is evolving, and current understanding of gene-health associations is incomplete.
- No human review of individual outputs. AI-generated content is not reviewed by a physician or genetic counselor before delivery. You are responsible for evaluating the information and consulting healthcare professionals as appropriate.
Full details about AI processing are in our Data Use Policy. Acceptance of the Data Use Policy is required before using our Services.
EU AI Act Compliance: In accordance with EU AI Act Article 13 transparency obligations, we disclose that: (a) you are interacting with an AI-powered system, (b) the system generates wellness information based on pattern analysis of health data, (c) the system has inherent limitations in accuracy and completeness, and (d) the system operates without real-time human oversight of individual outputs.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you warrant and represent that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect or process data from individuals under 18.
6. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account
- One account per person; accounts are not transferable
7. Data Ownership and License
7.1 Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you upload to or enter into SoDNAscan, including your genetic files, blood work results, wearable exports, and self-reported health information.
7.2 License to SoDNAscan
By uploading data, you grant SoDNAscan a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of:
- Providing the Service to you (parsing, analyzing, and generating your Health Book)
- Operating and maintaining the Service infrastructure
- Complying with legal obligations
This license terminates when you delete your account, except as required for legal retention obligations (see our Privacy Policy, Section 8).
7.3 Generated Content
Your Health Book and the analytical reports within it are generated by AI using your data. You may use, download, print, and share your Health Book for personal purposes. SoDNAscan retains no rights to your individual Health Book content after you download it.
8. Data Accuracy and Limitations
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you upload and enter. Inaccurate input data will produce inaccurate Health Book results.
- Genetic file quality: SoDNAscan matches your uploaded genotypes against a curated panel of health-relevant variants. The number of matched variants depends on your testing provider and file format. Not all genetic variants relevant to health have been studied, and those that have been studied are not comprehensively covered by any consumer test.
- Blood work interpretation: Blood biomarker analysis is informational. Reference ranges vary between labs, and individual context matters. Do not adjust medications or treatments based on SoDNAscan's blood work analysis.
- Wearable data limitations: Wearable device measurements have inherent accuracy limitations that vary by device, sensor, and wearing conditions. SoDNAscan's analysis reflects these measurements as provided.
9. Trust Commitments
We commit to the following, regardless of business circumstances:
- No sale to insurers or employers. We will never sell, rent, or provide your genetic data to insurance companies or employers.
- No voluntary sharing with relevant authorities. We will not voluntarily share your genetic data with relevant authorities. We will only disclose data in response to a legally valid court order, and we will notify you when legally permitted to do so.
10. Purchases and Payments
10.1 Health Book Purchase
SoDNAscan Health Books are available as a one-time purchase. Pricing is displayed at checkout in EUR (or other applicable currency).
10.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. You will be redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. SoDNAscan never receives or stores your payment card details.
10.3 Refund Policy
If your Health Book generation fails due to a technical error on our side and cannot be resolved through retry, you may request a refund by contacting info@sodnascan.com. Refunds are not available for completed Health Books or for dissatisfaction with AI-generated content, as outputs depend on your unique data and are generated on a per-user basis.
11. Acceptable Use

20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
